Okay with this roster. The MLS keepers are being rotated in and out through this as the 3rd keeper.

Didn't realize that. That's a good idea.

Roster for next round of WCQs:

Quote
GOALKEEPERS (6) : Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tally Hall (Houston Dynamo), Bill Hamid (D.C. United), Tim Howard (Everton), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)

DEFENDERS (8) : DaMarcus Beasley (Puebla), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Edgar Castillo (Club Tijuana), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim), Michael Parkhurst (Augsburg)

MIDFIELDERS (10) : Michael Bradley (Roma), Joe Corona (Club Tijuana), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Maurice Edu (Bursaspor), Stuart Holden (Bolton), Jermaine Jones (Schalke), Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht), Brek Shea (Stoke City), Danny Williams (Hoffenheim), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)

FORWARDS (5) : Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Rapid Vienna), Clint Dempsey (Tottenham Hotspur), Herculez Gomez (Santos), Eddie Johnson (Seattle Sounders FC)

Besler and Zusi both with call-ups. Also Stu Holden, SIX goalkeepers, and it's interesting that Beasley is listed as a defender. Jurgen must want to keep him at left back.

Oh, and Jozy. He's pretty good.

Really hope the beasley play at defender is an 'Energy' type coaching move with hopes that someone competent at left back comes in and takes it away from him.

Asava, are you a fan of Fabian Johnson at left back?

I definitely like him on the outside because I think he has some play making ability w/ his speed and strength with both feet. IIRC he's better on the right, but is capable on the left. Jurgen's scheme is definitely more fitted to his use there, and I think he absolutely is a better option than Beasley given Fabian's defensive play. Needless to say, I hope he finds his way into the starting line-up.

So you are okay with him being our left back for the future rather than a more natural LB who is actually left-footed and such? I am too. Just wanted your opinion.

Personally, I'd like to see Seth Sinovic (or someone like him) keep developing and work his way into the team. He's a true LB.
