Just because nobody likes you doesn't mean it isn't real life. I've helped many on this blog as much as they've helped me.  Clams is being a douche for no reason, but don't get me wrong, he hates @Trim. @michigancat helped me land my dream job. Total win in my book if you guys decide to PI me off this board.

Is that first sentence supposed to effect me in some way?  I guess if you can’t recognize the distinction between what is real and what is not on this blog I can’t help you.  I was just telling you to stop getting personal over rough ridin' basketball.

1) Not gonna win many times when Kam & Barry combine for 5-23 FG and have 9 TOs. As bad as that is, the Big4 still somehow put up a 47.4 eFG & 17-22 FT.

2) bench guys didnt give us anything on Defense the last 15:30 when we went small.  Allen posted up Wainwright and scored easily. Wainwright then didn't block Allen out and he got a OR and putback. Diarra & Patrick fouled 5 times in 5:00 stretch and WV shot 10 FTs from them.

I was in favor of going small after Stockard got 4 (and Maiwen sucking). IMO, The bench just played poor on the Defensive end

3) the 4-17 in the first half and 10-30 for the game on 2pt shooting was as damaging as anything. Everyone not named Dean was 5-22 on the 2pt shots.

That implies he was ever higher than rock bottom to begin with, which I argue isn’t true.

Diarra and Patrick got called for fouls nobody else got called for all game, it was rough ridin' bizarre how that trash crew decided to pick on those two down the stretch.

FSD you should put together a video of how much refs hate k-state. I’m sure some ISU guys could give you pointers.

I'm going full rusty here, no more Mawein, Sallah, or Stockard. They really don't serve a purpose on this team, it isn't their fault. Those minutes should be given to Diarra, Wainwright, and Patrick.

I think we need 8.

Kam, Barry, Wade, Sneed of course.

Wainright, Diarra.

Patrick I suppose, but I don't see him as much more valuable than the bigs if he can't hit shots.

Mawein and Stockard seem to have "earned" any minutes for true bigs to this point. I didn't even think Stockard was terrible against WVU, besides finishing around the rim. I'll take his 6 boards. I also think Mawein has a couple good games (like 10 and 6) in him in Big 12 play.

Mawein was probably the laziest player I've ever seen in a game at that level. It was unbelievable.

I know they are different parts, but I like Patrick more than Diarra. Cartier doesn't bring much more than another ball handler. Patrick is a better shooter and I think he has the athletic ability to rebound decently from a g/f spot we'd need if we went small.

the little i've watched, stockard brings some energy but his shots and touch were bad yesterday. diarra has been worse than i thought. he dribbles around and passes off to a better player. pinning hopes on patrick at this point is mostly just hoping one of these guys who hasn't proven to be terrible due to lack of playing time emerges and becomes serviceable. we are what we are.

I wouldn't classify talk about the 8th player in the rotation as pinning hopes on anything.

:opcat:

I thought Stockard played fine. He needs to finish on offense, but boarded well and wasn't in the way on offense.

Diarra was far more effective than Patrick yesterday (and every other game this season), is far more athletic, and a much better defender, so I disagree with this bizarre assessment.
