Thank you, announcers for pointing out that UCLA is committing a bunch of personal fouls because of wildfires.

I missed this, was it after #2 got the unsportsmanlike penalty?

yes.

also and non related- I'm glad kstate won. a loss against that team, who was trash all year despite having a #1 pick in the draft qb would have been a horrible sign. like, even with rosen they were a pretty bad team. losing to ucla without him would've been not good.

That definitely bugged me the most about the broadcast. They were acting like there was some god among men walking UCLA’s sidelines who led them to 6 wins and got his own head coach fired.

Who wants some phog gems?

Quote
Surprised MEOW ball is only -6.5. I expected they would be a 9-10 points favorite.

Quote
West Virginia looked like crap today. UCLA hanging with the grapes so far. KSU used a time out 1 minute in, big surprise. Watching the Chevy discount commercials I've learned every woman that works for Chevy is pretty hot.

Quote
Kstate shtting their Depends against an interim coached team.

Quote
and a 2nd string redshirt frosh qb. KSU just seems lackluster. Another vintage Snyder bowl prep and game.

Quote
Yeesh. Heading for 0-3.

Well, at least oSu and TCU games look like wins and I like OU. Hopefully, the conference can get to .500 after this brutal start.

Quote
KSUCK back in front

Quote
KState fans had an absolute meltdown on social media last night over Jason Benetti and Aaron Rodgers' brother mentioning Chip Kelly too much.

Uh, UCLA is in LA! ESPN knows where their audience is and it isn't town in central KS. Plus, Benetti has overcome a lot to achieve the position he's achieved. Rubes.
 Nobody gives AF about sports in LA.

Quote
Nothing like an interim HC and a RS Frosh making his first start to cure those bowl game blues for Snyder. Now the speculation begins on whether or not he returns.

Quote
Some how the greatest coach in history was able to beat UCLA with its 6-6- record 4-5 in conference and 7 th place finish in Pac 12. Plus they had no head coach and no starting QB. If you fire your coach maybe they should not let you in a bowl game. Another great win!

somehow WVU lost to Utah, 3-6 in conference and 9th place finish in Pac 12.
these bowl game match ups are a joke. they are worse than NIT games in basketball.

If OU does not win the big 12 needs to do something to improve in football . right now it is a horrible football league.

Quote
I know it's trendy to bash play by play and color commentary personalities, but I've liked what I've heard/seen from Jason Benetti. I've streamed the MLB.TV service for a while and got to watch and listen to some of his work during ChiSox games. JB seems at ease with the substantial down time that you often get during MLB games.

But yeah, Chip Kelly was and is a huge story for the Baby Bears and Pac 12 football. Not surprised at all he got so much face time. I thought they would try to interview him, but somehow missed out on that opportunity.

Quote
Old Balls will coach until he gets his souvenir windbreaker from every fourth tier bowl in existence.

Old balls in his current catatonic state or David Beaty?

I say Beaty by a mile.

Quote
They could be getting ready to roll Old Balls into his grave and he would still be better than Betty until at least the 12th shovel full of dirt.

Quote
Old Balls' head set hasn't been turned on for the last 3 years.

Quote
Old Balls has forgotten more football than Beaty will ever learn in 4 lifetimes.

Quote
4 lifetimes won't hold it.

If its so easy to beat a RS Frosh QB, how come UCLA couldn't do it?  Or KU for that matter?

I don't expect them to know what they're talking about when it comes to football, but I do find it hilarious how dumb and naive they are. This is the guy we faced last night:

https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2016/devon-modster-4501 He was recruited by KU too.  :Keke:

No interim coach tho. Although I guess KU fans would rather have a 3-win coach in Beaty so yea, no excuses for them losing to KSU this year.

Only because I understand the average KU fan's mentality, does this make sense.  Otherwise, I would have thought that Wacky made this quote up.  The irony of the comment is that the answer to the last statement would be to kick KU out of the conference.

“UCLA players are whiny babies but don’t go down to their level” doesn’t really sound that good on national tv.

If you have an interim coach and have dealt with wild fires for two weeks and your future NFL high round draft pick QB is benched.   Then K-State football is gonna kick your ass!
