Slackcat, how many times have you been accused of rape?

Mike Pence is still a weird prude. It's not that hard to both be alone with women and not rape have her make accusations on a later date.

Dear My Favorite Poster,

It's possible to be alone with women and not have them accuse you of raping them.

The chaperone rule is still probably a good idea for prominent politicians....
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

People in positions of power should avoid private contact with others.  Hence not assuming the risk of being accused of impropriety.
Evidently I assume too much with some posters.

There is no grey area as long as you aren't really creepy.

This is actually more common than you think. I see nothing wrong with it as a risk mitigation strategy.

Considering private meetings with women as "at risk" is ridiculous. Of course, it's different for the average Joe and a distinguished individual, but even then it's not crazy as long as you aren't a creep.

I know some Texas state congressmen who always have a third party in the room for this reason. But there's also been some sexual harassment heat in recent years at the leg, so it's understandable as a precaution. It also has the benefit of making it difficult/cumbersome to meet with you.

I don't think Pence and other religious fanatics are worried about false accusations when they talk about that sorta stuff.

My thought is that as long as there is nothing funny going on then it's easy to shut down any accusation. Sure, if you're falsely accused, it may hurt you a bit in public opinion but it's neglible. You shouldn't need a third party unless you have a history.

Politics is a game of attrition. Sometimes, the question itself is the stigma.

Pastor Franklin Raddish of the Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries, a nationwide church, told AL.com from his South Carolina home that the spate of accusations against men in politics, Hollywood and elsewhere was a "war on men."

"More women are sexual predators than men," said Raddish. "Women are chasing young boys up and down the road, but we don't hear about that because it's not PC."

The Pence thing still doesn’t bother me as long as he observes the same rule for men in the workplace (so as to not give an unfair advantage, but also because everyone knows that is the bigger concern).

But to make any comparison to Moore is insane. Moore is accused of seeking out and grooming underage girls to have sex with him. He wasn’t a guy who just “lost control,” he is the epitome of a sexual predator.

Harlots tempted Moore according to a Paator, and a 30 year old is a kid.

"Pastor Franklin Raddish of the Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries, a nationwide church, told AL.com from his South Carolina home that the spate of accusations against men in politics, Hollywood and elsewhere was a "war on men."

Again Republicans show they are principled and have backbones of still.  Unlike the Dems who are throwing their predators and perverts under the bus, we support especially when it is paramount to maintain power so we can send someone to Congress who is likely not to do a dang thing like the rest of the rabble.  But by God we are in Power.
