Only one winning conference season (2014) since leaving WVU. The Pac 12 South has been down most of his tenure at UofA too.

Not a fan of guys who have THAT much of a history and it is still pretty bad on average.  Give me a young guy with promise or an Andy Reid / Les Miles type who is consistently good even if it seems like he can't win the big one.

I'm all for a young, successful MAC coach. Those guys seem to most consistently move up to P5 schools and have success.

An Arizona donor has helped pad this deal further, offering up equity to Rodriguez, basketball coach Sean Miller and athletic director Greg Byrne. This “major university benefactor"—as outlined by the Board of Regents—has offered 500,000 units of a master limited partnership. Each unit is currently valued at $35.36 for a total of $17,680,000.

Rodriguez was granted 175,000 units of the 500,000, which equates to $6,188,000 right now. The only caveat for him to cash in on such options is that he has to stay at the school for eight years to receive this payout, whatever it becomes. If the price of the unit goes up in that time, his payout will go up; if the company struggles and the units drop in value, his payouts decrease.

Different Rod guys. NIU head coach Rod Carey who is in his fifth season and is 6-2 with notable win at Nebraska. The dude may be bald but it seems as if he can coach seeing as the Huskies have a 41-21 record since he took over the team.

Pretty sure they are the KU of the MAC, so that record is v impressive imo

If you know anyone in Michigan, talk to them. They think Rich Rod was their Ron Prince. Did nothing but piss off alumni, students and anyone else he came in physical contact with. We don't need another arrogant prick who's at best a mediocre coach.

Too lazy to go back and reread the whole thread but Kyle Wittingham. Not exactly gross but underperformed a bit since joining the PAC-12. Still think he’s a good coach and they almost always have a good defense
