Arizona vs Los Angeles boycott war
« on: May 19, 2010, 10:03:32 PM »
First off, I don't agree with this law but i think something needs to be done. I also think LA starting all this boycott stuff is dumb.

http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/051810_arizonapdf.pdf

"If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives power any power any power from Arizona-based generation"

The lol part is:

"I am confident that Arizona utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands."

If libs were truly consistent, and we know they aren't, they'd be all up in arms over the boycotts being a violation of the commerce clause.  This is the kind of thing that clause was actually intended for, not the made up crap that the court has twisted it into.

Pretty sure 'zona could sell their electrons to Vegas, San Diego, etc. without much of a problem.
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Yes, no problem. There is always a shortage of electrons in the southwest, and especially CA. They make it impossible to build anything that may pollute in any way.
