i think mir meant that they did not play a full 12 game reg season. the ga tech game was canceled (also due to irma) but not rescheduled.

Correct, the actual national champion will have either played a 14 or 15 game season. The committee certainly screwed them with their ranking but they weren't top 4.

Well, Oklahoma State's bogus national championship is bogus because Army was undefeated and unquestionably played a ridiculous schedule. This article by Trammel (i know I know) does a pretty good job laying it out:

UCF was the only undefeated team in the country and beat one of the best teams in the Country along the way. They have a much better argument that Oklahoma State imo. And regardless, if Oklahoma State gets to claim a national title, why shouldn't UCF?
