He is the type of person that opponents fans love to hate....the fact that he is a 2X walk on makes it impossible for me to hate the guy.  he's worked his ass off to be where he is and he deserves everything he achieves.  I will guarantee you his teammates would run thru a wall for the guy....he's the consummate leader. I know exactly what you mean. I've thought about this from that angle as well. I may have some failings in my thinking but I don't remember hating on a black athlete walking on and avenging a loss from the previous year and me hating on him for showing the other team up on their field.

I'll admit I may be wrong. I just couldn't come up with a scenario where my line of thinking on this has been different for a black athlete.

I think everyone saying "Lincoln Riley is a great coach and this is proof!" needs to wait and see what he can do without Baker Mayfield. Baker is this team. I'm thinking the next few years after Baker leaves will be the true test and will show Lincoln having some growing pains.

As much as I do think Mayfield's a punk ass bitch like wetwillie said, the dude has proven himself to be a road warrior w/o much of an equal in CFB this year so far.

Shutting him down will be easily the hardest thing this defense will have to do this year. Hopefully we find something on him a al Landry. Though Landry was a loser and Mayfield is a winner.
