Picked up some boar's head pastrami seasoned turkey last night.  It's delightful.

Capicola.  With lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet peppers,  and some balsamic vinegar on a soft hoagie roll.   :lick:

Capicola is tremdendous.  You can't go wrong with that.

Boar's head is quality.  Don't get anything but boar's head or dilusso at hyvee.  The rest is garbage.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Was going to get on this thread and be all "Ham, duh!"

But now I see this is a higher-level discussion.  I haven't heard of this pastrami seasoned turkey, and it sounds like a potential game-changer.  I will seek it out.  (BTW, this is a former shift manager at Mr. Goodcents you're dealing with right here, so I know my sliced meats.)

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Turkey pastrami tastes ok but not a substitute for the real deal.

Agreed.  It is highly processed and awfully slimy.

Get yourself some dilusso oil browned chicken (get your card stamped and FTW) and some beef pepperoni.  Makes a mean sammie.

My local Price Chopper makes their own Double Smoked turkey.  If you like smoked meat, you will love it.

Fantastic.

It's smoked TWICE!

Don't be a jackass and buy bologna at the deli counter.  It makes you look like a fool.

Don't buy party time ham either.

Throw in a little genoa with this guy and we are good to go. Might sub bread  for toasted sourdough.

Combo with a little mac salad and kettle cooked salt & vinegar chips. Gimme a newspaper and leave me alone for 30-45 mins.

i eat cold cut sandwiches for dinner a lot and the BHPST has a firm spot in my regular rotation.  teh crap is loaded with sodium though, 2 ounces = 440 mgs of sodium.   if you get a pound of meat @ 16oz, that's 8 sandwiches per 2oz serving per pound.  i probably do 5-6 sandwiches per pound so not too bad but much more than i want.

if you get the oven seasoned top round (roast beef), important to get the right one, but it has only 140mg per 2 oz serving.  some of their roast beef can get higher in sodium so you have to pay attn to what you're getting. DO NOT GET THE ITALIAN SEASONED.

the golded classic chicken breast is the 3rd of the 3 meats that i go with.  it's really great and has less sodium than its turkey counterpart @ 350 mg per 2oz serving.  sometimes i do a combo and get both turkey and roast beef.

if you really want to get crazy, try some of the boar's head cheeses to add to your sandwiches.  they're great too.

you're a complete dumbass.  boar's head bologna is great.  what a dumbass.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Italian Seasoned roast beef is actually really good.  Don't listen to pissclams. Also don't buy boars head bologna.  If you want some good bologna try the mortadella kind. tia.

Anyone tried the "salsalito" Boar's Head turkey?  Thought about giving it a whirl but then decided to check the boards for a full review first.

Whoa, whoa.  Fanestil Party Time Ham is outstanding.  I mean, it has PARTY TIME in it's name for shazbot!'s sake.

Also, pastrami is an elite choice.  I have not tried this "pastrami seasoned turkey" stuff yet and and somewhat skeptical but am willing to at least give it a try.

Amazingly, the Wal-Mart brand of this tastes pretty damn good.  Better than Oscar Mayer/Land O Frost/other name brands.  Not so much with the Turkey or Beef, but the ham works.
