Picked up some boar's head pastrami seasoned turkey last night. It's delightful.
i eat cold cut sandwiches for dinner a lot and the BHPST has a firm spot in my regular rotation. teh crap is loaded with sodium though, 2 ounces = 440 mgs of sodium. if you get a pound of meat @ 16oz, that's 8 sandwiches per 2oz serving per pound. i probably do 5-6 sandwiches per pound so not too bad but much more than i want.
if you get the oven seasoned top round (roast beef), important to get the right one, but it has only 140mg per 2 oz serving. some of their roast beef can get higher in sodium so you have to pay attn to what you're getting. DO NOT GET THE ITALIAN SEASONED.
the golded classic chicken breast is the 3rd of the 3 meats that i go with. it's really great and has less sodium than its turkey counterpart @ 350 mg per 2oz serving. sometimes i do a combo and get both turkey and roast beef.
if you really want to get crazy, try some of the boar's head cheeses to add to your sandwiches. they're great too.
Don't be a jackass and buy bologna at the deli counter. It makes you look like a fool.
Don't buy party time ham either.
you're a complete dumbass. boar's head bologna is great. what a dumbass.
