I love Nye but I couldn't get past the first 5 minutes of his show. It just was too much for me. I don't need to be convinced of like most the things he talks about, and the way he/the show presents it was just cringe worthy.

The reboot of Cosmos by the guy in my sig, and the reason I have it, was really well done, little low hanging, but that's what you got to do to get people interested in science. The Saves the World show is too gimmicky.

His audience has always been 8th grade and below. Any parent seeing that on netflix is probably asking their kids to join in. Let's don't be naive about this.

I can think of no time when I've asked my 10 year old to join in on my TV watching. We have very different tastes in TV.
