You guys are in hardcore denial mode.   That's all I gotta say.

The entire rough ridin' country, every professional basketball writer, has K-State in the preseason top 5.  You don't.  Who is in denial?

I still have yet to see one K-State fan explain how losing Clemente and replacing him with Irving/Russell/Canadian Juco will make you guys better.

Uh, you won't, you Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  Irving/Russell/Canadian Juco are a major drop-off from Clemente.  That lone trade-off will not make KSU better.

Ben won't ever get it.

Clemente's replacements aren't better it's that we have a go-to scorer down low. You don't think that woulda helped against Butler? If Curt could have had someone else to take the pressure off he could have saved himself for defense

I hope ku is good in men's basketball next year because the entire rest of its athletic program is a conference patsy.

Josh Selby has the potential to be every bit as good as Collins.  The Morris twins starting together in the frontcourt will add a different dynamic to the offense, with KU being able to play more up-tempo, and the Morris twins being able to shoot from the perimeter.  Mario Little might not average as many points as Xavier Henry, but he doesn't need to.  You will see a different Tyshawn Taylor next year now that Henry and Collins are gone as well.

I still have yet to see one K-State fan explain how losing Clemente and replacing him with Irving/Russell/Canadian Juco will make you guys better.

I think we'll see a different Tyshawn Taylor as well.  He's going to be a lot worse without those two guys to take the pressure off of him.  Also, why don't you ever mention McGruder when talking about replacing Clemente?  Pullen will move to pg.

Taylor averaged nearly 10 ppg as a freshman (when he was relied on more to score).  Maybe next time?

His FG%, 3FG%, and FT% all went down last year.  And that's with Collins and Henry as the focus of the defense.  Can't even imagine how bad he's going to be when the defense actually knows where he is on the court.  Like so many others he is regressing under Bill Self.  I feel horrible for him.

Aldrich and Marcus Morris really regressed under Self as well.  KU is only the 2nd school ever to have five players drafted in one NBA draft.  But yeah, you're totally right.  Taylor's off the court issues and his decreased role last season didn't have anything to do with his drop off... it was all Self's fault.

Why would off the court issues and a decreased role make him shoot worse from every spot on the floor?

I fail to see where my post above was "in denial".

I was addressing KU, not K-State there.  Your infatuation with Selby (and I agree he will be very good, I just don't know if I'd expect the next John Wall, nor do I know if Self has shown he'll rely on a FR the same way Calipari did last year.) seems to have clouded any logical thinking on the loss of Aldrich.  I don't think you can underscore the impact he had on the defensive end and what that will do to KU's team defense.  He was clearly one of the best defensive presenses in the paint in all of college basketball the last 2 seasons and no amount of rationalizing by you will convince me you will replace that next year.  Selby may replace Collins, I'll give you that, but no one is going to provide on the defensive end what Aldrich did and you seem to write that off like its no big deal.

And no one is saying we'll better b/c of the position you stated, no doubt replacing Clemente will be a concern.  But its the whole of who could get improve, particularly Judge and McGruder, that gives me hope for an equal or better season next year by the Cats.  If those two make the type of improvements that could be expected from players of their ability, then they could more than offset the loss of Clemente.  Plus I'd expect improvement from Kelly and Samuels as well, just as you are from KU's returning players.  I just think the improvements compared to what is lost for K-State is better than that for KU going into next season.

Much like me not being able to tell the difference between Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) Morris twins, I don't think Beems knows the difference between "because of" and "in spite of".

I doubt there are any EMAWs saying recently* we'll be better next year with Denis gone, or because Denis is gone, or because we've got Irving/Spradling/Russell/Canada.  EMAWs (and a large number of media) are saying KSU could be better next year because in spite of losing Clemente, we've got Pullen, Kelly, etc. coming back along with adequate fill-in newcomers.

All EMAWs are fully aware of how much Clemente will be missed, both in basketball attributes and in general EMAWsomeness.  Unlike at ku, we don't flip a switch and become "haters" on our former players the second he leaves.  We can't even say "well, at least elevator rapes should go down" to try to put a positive spin on it.

*this excludes the late 2009 clams' of the world who were saying we'd be better w/o Denis.

its as true today as it was back then

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Don't worry, guys.  Where there's a Canadian juco, there's a way.

Are we talking about next year or have we jumped to a debate about all-time teams. FR Josh Selby has the potential to be every bit as good as a Sr Sherron Collins? Or Josh Selby, 2013 after two years with the Portland Trailblazers, will be better than Sherron Collins, Sophmore season with KU. I need this clarified so I can judge just how delusional you really are.

Otherwise, I like the Morris twins as consistent post men... but if they are going to bring a different (not better) dynamic to the offense, then I can't wait to see what the Cats dynamic is like with Freddy playing center next year. I'm glad we will see a different Tyshawn Taylor next year... hopefully one that doesn't turn the ball over or take an insane coast to coast shot every third time down the floor (he's no Denis Clemente). I like Mario Little. He should have transferred last year when they decided to eff him in the ass with a redshirt.

As for your final and worn out comment:
Just because you keep asking the same question doesn't make it a good question... With that in mind, I've yet to see you explain how K-State will be worse considering the experienced returning cast in addition to the newcomers.
