I wish everyone wore name tags with their gE username so we could all recognize each other.

I'll probably rock a gE purchased tshirt.  Not that I'm an A-list gE celebrity to meet.

I would definitely enjoy meeting you PT, especially in KC where you can talk about KC things.

Also, I miss the old format. I miss Thursday being the first day with 4 games, then another 4 on Friday, 2 on Saturday with the 'ship on Sunday. I'm sorry but it was better. 12 teams starting on Thursday completely rocked.

BIG XII CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY MEMORY:

My Fresh year I played in the hoops band, and we played Baylor in the first round and won. IIRC Seibrandt was told to miss a free throw at the end and he just rocketed the ball off the backboard and since it didn't touch rim Baylor got another chance for a throw in and a heave ho at the buzzer.

Cats won tho.

On the way back to Manhattan on the bus we watched True Lies which is so awesome.


Oh also this was back when the band sat right behind the other team's bench in football. Coach said it was a great homefield advantage! I'm still pissed they moved the band to the corner.

BIG XII CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY MEMORY:

The next night we played OU. This was when they had Hollis Price and were really good. Hollis lost a shoe during a play and still took a shot with only one shoe on. He missed. I think we were winning at half but we lost.

I stayed in KC and my Dad picked me up at Kemper Arena. I snuck him back in the arena and we watched the next game. The entire KSU team came and sat and watched the game about half way through the first half. They did not look happy to be doing that.

Then Kansas handled us again the next day and soon the NIT committee crushed our dreams.

Sounds good bud! Thursday's games I have ISU over Ok St (because of their crazy fans), KU over OU, WVU over Tech, and of course I tucked in my shirt and took the cats over Baylor. In the 'ship I have KU over WVU, with a total score of 141. Winner gets lunch paid for by the losers next week. Go cats, guys!

What's y'alls go to bar before/between/after games? I feel like we end up at Pizza Bar or Johnny's (not sure if that's a bad thing since I know almost nothing about KC) more often than not.

2007 down in OKC. Had credentials to broadcast the games with 91.9. Thought if we beat Tech, we'd be in. We beat them, but got snubbed. :( I got to Watch Durant take on KU in the Championship game and he was amazing. Won the MVP in a loss.
