Cool. I'd take cf3's advice. Thursday will be insane at the bars, but pizza bar and johnny's usually has some extra room. Bar Louie if you want to get away from the noise across the street has some decent happy hour deals.

What's y'alls go to bar before/between/after games? I feel like we end up at Pizza Bar or Johnny's (not sure if that's a bad thing since I know almost nothing about KC) more often than not.

Usually run into Johnnys to get a beer as they are the best deal and then hang out outside...sometimes on top level or jump into Shark BAr as they open early and you can hang out on the patio facing Sprint Center....that's tomorrow.  Tonight I'm volunteering up until first game time....we will probably go in for a bit...

This is about the only weekend I hang out in the P&L bar mall so generally just hang out inside the bar mall but will bug out for food to some places like Zaina, Milwaukee Deli, etc...will be much easier to get a good meal outside of P&L with streetcar running now.

I like watching the Big 12 championship more when our tournament fate doesn't depend on it. Still, should be fun since both outlooks aren't terrible. I would totally take an NIT bid plus a new BBall coach. Nice to have an excuse to watch two tournaments.

didn't gE'rs meet one year at willies for a big 12 tourney game and the cats lost?
in fact I think every time I've watched with a group of gE'rs the cats have lost.. worst was the Baylor loss for football in 2012

Well, after getting abused by Dish on paying god awful amounts for TV for channels I don't even care about, mostly, I went to their "Flex Package" 3 weeks ago.......I lost ESPNU

Wouldn't you know it, every Cat game since then has been on ESPNU and have missed it. Guess what channel tomorrow's game is on?.......

Options:  stay at home and ignore it
              stay at home and listen to it online
              go to my FIL's and watch it, only to have him constantly channel surf b/w commercials until I "remind" him to back to the game and we miss big chunks of it
