It was that stretch between Sonic and Aggieville.  This was like 1999ish.  All those shitty houses that I suppose any college town has.

Look, coming into town in the old days on the old bridge and seeing big old grain elevators, a run down train depot, a concrete materials place, and a mall as you came over probably wasn't the best look.

Definitely Bob Strawn.  Dibbini would prob be down and may open up doors to others in the Athletic Dept.  Airport guy is pretty young and probably accessible.

Man Strawn should've been on for the FPD ep.  Think of the memes.

Fair enough.  I just imagined where I went to school would be better than that.  Maybe I put that, at the time, mystery school on a pedestal.  The campus is no doubt beautiful, and more than I expected for sure.  When I visited K-State I had no intention of attending, but the campus and the people quickly changed that.

Anyway, I didn't mean to offend anyone, maybe KS has a lot of shithole towns.  I'm just saying that a facelift in that main travel corridor would be greatly appreciated by me and probably many others.  Call it gentrification or whatever.  There is sure to be an increased demand in real-estate in MHK and there are some really cool houses that could use some TLC and I bet the investment would pay off more often than it doesn't.

Every college town has some drag filled with the college slums (and not all of the homes/apartments on that stretch are slums).  Anyway, the Bluemont Hotel increased the aesthetics on that quarter mile quite a bit, and I imagine as the town continues to grow, that stretch in particular will see some new development.

They have already torn down a bunch of older apartment complexes and built new ones. Most of them are just not on bluemont.

it's almost like cities tend to have parts of them with older houses that aren't very well taken care of  :Wha:

A couple thoughts while waiting anxiously for episode 4.

1.  Seems like the door should be open for boss interim AD and local townie stud Laird Veatch to be a guest sometime.

2.  Show needs a dedicated theme song of some sort.  Something short and funny.  Usually I am good at coming up with stuff like this but I was drawing a blank on material.

I think the music choices so far have been EXTREMELY townie-esque.

I have no idea where he's from but I think an episode with Weird Robert would be good. With your townie rules I would think he's maybe not a townie but idk. I'm not sure he could fit you into his schedule tho

Podcast is fine, hosts' voices and laughs are kind of annoying.

I almost quit listening to a New podcast that I was very excited about 15 seconds in because I hated the host's voice.

Based on the hosts' voices, we should guess what they look like.
