May be this is the only way a fan base that is taken for granted to vent their dissapproval.  I don't like students yelling for unnatural acts with chickens, but there is no excuses for not wanting power and prideful basketball in Manhattan.

BTW, I want to believe that since the General was a student during a period when K-State had some good teams (2 Tops 10 finishes) that he cares about basketball.   However, does he really care, or does he only care in a it has to get really bad, kind of way?

I actually chuckled a little bit when it happened during the KU game at the time out.  But, being a good dad, turned to my 16 1/2 year old son and told him I wish they would quit that chant and grow up......

....he said back to me "I can't wait for college"

the students have to keep chanting eff ku until the a.d. gives sandstorm back, without conditions.  otherwise the administration will just take sandstorm away on each and every issue of contention with the students, knowing they will cave.

I doubt many of them think they're "cool" by chanting it.  I have no problem with eff ku being chanted at a ksu/ku game.. but for other games yeah.. seems lil brothery to do it when we aren't playing them
