oscar Weber owns Bill Self
« on: February 07, 2017, 07:57:19 AM »
On Dec, 13, 2003, Weber staged a kind of mock funeral, showing up for his post-game press conference in black slacks, black coat and a black tie.

"This is a funeral," Weber said, startling his audience. "I'm going to throw a funeral. It's the end of Bill Self. It's over. There's no more complaining. He's gone. No more talking about it. I'll be honest, I'm fed up with it."

While the mock funeral was weird enough, Weber got a little personal when he tried to justify his own ability to do the job. He noted that his Southern Illinois team had handily defeated Self's Tulsa squad. And he said that when SIU played Self and the Illini in 2001, the undermanned Salukis more than held their own.

"Unless he's a miracle worker, I kicked his butt in both games
," Weber said.

he just can't help himself.
which tells me that he's too stupid to help himself or doesn't realize how stupid he sounds which tells me that he's too stupid to realize how stupid he sounds.
whatever.  either way, he's an embarrassing idiot.

I don't understand how this continues to happen.  Why hasn't Currie said something to him?  After the way he micromanaged Frank you would think he would pull him aside and coach him on how to not say stupid crap.  IMO, if he could get him to shut up it would make his job a little easier.  People would still be pissed about losing all the time, but the dumb comments really push people over the edge.

The stuff he spews out is way more embarrassing that anything Frank said or did.

he is stupid like a fox and if he can find 3 wins out of 5 games vs the bottom half of the conference he will make 8+ Million dollars on top of the dozens he already has.  I wonder what saying every stupid self-serving excuse that hits my brain would do for me professionally?

Say what you will about oscar, but this loss is on the fans:

"I'll be honest, the crowd helped us win the game," Self said. "There's no doubt about that. That's all we talked about was use their energy to give you energy."

Your attempt to cause amusement by drawing parallels between the performance of basketball players on the court and their status as potential witnesses connected to a rape? It's either a joke or a sober argument advanced by a real dumbass. I guess if you want to go with the latter, that's fine.

If you want a joke, look at the kupd/lpd "investigation" into the matter.

That reminds me of his quote after the ISU game in Lawrence.

"They definitely would not have won without our crowd," Self said. "They got energy from from our crowds energy which caused us to lose. No doubt about that. Sometimes I wish they would just be quiet."

i don't see what krause has to do with anything.
"a garden city man wondered in april if the theologians had not made a mistake in locating the garden of eden in asia rather than in the arkansas river valley."
