I'd have to go with 2011. Sure, it's easy to go with '97 or '98 or another year in the early 00's but I can't say I've ever felt the unexpected joy that the 2011 season brought, 10-wins, action packed games, like wow. I'm not asking for your best ksu purple cat team but the one you had the most genuine fun watching. Go Cats, guys!

(Author side note: The '97 Fiesta bowl is the first game I remember watching)

Why? That three game losing streak was opposite of fun but the streak following that was incredible and so dominant.

Still gotta go with 2012. So many "OMG WE ARE REALLY GOOD" moments like Smoking Miami, beating OU, then Crushing the hilljacks on national television.

Then to end it at home with a big12 title on the line against Texas....There was an energy in BSFS that night that is hard to explain....the fog...willie getting up on the pressbox to do the KSU chant (had only seen it in old youtube video of the Neb game in 2000).

At first I wanted to say 2012. However personally it was 2011. In 2012 I had a terrible migraine during the OU game. Also, after WVU I went into "don't mess this up" mode.

Then I went back and looked at the 2011 schedule. The @Miami game, the Baylor comeback, beating Mizzou on their way out, winning at Lubbock starting off with the pick-6, 4 OT over A&M, winning in Austin, & winning a fun game against ISU in the rain (the diving pick). Those were 7 very fun games, plus I watched us destroy KU in Vegas. I also went to the the OSU game, and even though we lost, the game was fun.

Overall, in season, 2011 was the most fun for me.

98 defense wasn't as good as the next two, maybe three, years. Pass defense had a complete fourth quarter Dr. Pepper meltdown, which was presaged in the Mizzou game. Once Newman got on the field, i.e. the Cotton Bowl, in 99 that might have been the best D the Cats ever fielded.

2011.

Playing against Eastern Kentucky and barely winning that game, I came away depressed, thinking this was going to be a very bad K-State0 team. I had very low expectations for that team.

That was a fun ride.

mahbe not stat wise it they were the funniest to watch, those guys just flew all over the field and that's why I love them

I'm with Winters. I was too young to really be destroyed by 98. 2003 was a lot of fun until the Fiesta Bowl. '11 stole my heart when I wasn't even looking. Took it on a magical ride and tore it to shreds. The measure of love is in loss and I felt the most loss in '11.

2011. And it isn't even close, although living with King Winters and watching the BCS reveal shows on Yuma was a lot of fun.

Those were also years I was in college so it was a lot of fun. For non college years 2002. It was the first year I went to a ton of games and it capped off with being in San Diego for the Holiday Bowl win.

98 was my favorite team.

Loved the awesome road comebacks on the 99 team. The 3 game stretch in 2012 beating ranked teams WV Tech and OkSt was sweet. 2002, the USC game, then beating ku-isu-Nubb-mizz by 189 pts in 4 straight weeks was incredible

1999. Joe Hall, Frank Murphy, David Allen. Beasley throwing it as far as he could every time he threw it. Quincy Morgan, Aaron Lockett. Holiday Bowl victory.
