Airplane death is never a worry to me. It's pretty peaceful with the amount of O2 they are going to pump into me and it's all over fairly quickly. Not afraid of turbulence.

I don't think sufficient oxygen correlates with a happier death anyhow

When airplanes go down it's not because of turbulence. Even extreme turbulence is safe AF. Landing and takeoff are where you want to be doing your rosary deal with the forgiveness and all that.

They only provide living amounts and only during depressurization which never happens when you crash and burn.

I had a very vivid dream wherein I was flying and it suddenly became very apparent the plane would certainly crash and we would all die.  I was very calm.  Just kinda like a "welp."

Up until about 2 years ago, everything gave me anxiety.  Everything.

Anyway, my answer is scary movie trailers.  The recent one where it takes place is some Swiss or Austrian crazy farm.  Anxiety right there.

Also some heights.  Like, not top of some tower or bridge or something, but like legitimately dangerous places like scree slopes and cliffs and knife ridges.  Last fall I felt myself freaking out on a scree slope and thought I might pass out and had to bear hug a tree with my arms and legs until it passed.

When I sold software, I worked for thee biggest assholes in thee entire world. Like seriously, my CEO was like 6'6" and played college football and was always a giant dick to me. Always calling me out in meetings and always looking over my shoulder at my station. Anyways, he gave me my fear of public speaking all of a sudden, because he did a number on my dome. I might see what I can do to break this "fear". I have dreams about that job and my old boss like 2-3 times a week. I've been removed from there for like 4 years now.

What can you do about something like that? See a specialist or am I just mumped for life? :dunno:

I've had 3 near drown experiences from the anxiety. Fortunately, I just ask my "SdK, do you want to die? No." Then backstroke to safety. I'm not a bad swimmer but being too far away from shore or in a current terrifies me.

Why would you continue to work for someone that treats you like that?

I was there for like 7 months, finally got out of for profit education, and was making decent $. My friends and family were really proud. I thought maybe i'd get over it, but I did not!

Yes, inside sales. I got back into for profit after they let me go. I took PTO to do a TV gig up in Nebraska for a state tournament. I was leading the team in sales at the time too. When I returned they let me go because I wasn't 100% invested with them. Their words.

What's your secret these days @pete?

Not much really. Maybe speaking or working with the public. Like I'd never want to be a waiter or work with customers I don't know.

I would consider your job as working with the public  :shy:
