I was just reading an old article about how the U.S. would drop leaflets warning truck drivers in Syria to leave their trucks in run away before they got bombed back in 2015.   

The article also talked about the greater "coordination" between Obama/Kerry and Vlad Putin on fighting ISIS in Syria.   All part of the Era of Post Election Flexibility 2012 to 2016. 

New Mcarthyites (Formed November 2016)  would completely meltdown about such a thing now.

“We want to make sure that SDF does have access to those resources in order to guard the prisons, in order to arm their own troops in order to assist us with the defeat Isis mission,” Esper said.

Johnny Bolton is essentially out on the speakers circuit pretty much telling the audience that we need to be at war with just about everybody.   Just another dumb move by Trump to even have that guy anywhere close to the WH.

I suspect there's a lot of butt hurt within the National Security element in this country because there's been no net new wars under this Administration.

The answer was:  Not getting in the middle of a situation that:  1.  Goes back decades even centuries  2.  That deals with repatriation of 3.5 million Syrian refugees  3.  A NATO partner country dealing with a secessionist/annexation political movement
