Travel to Lawrence results in another loss; KU ADV

1) I only got to see the last 4 minutes. I feel like I saw several questionable calls. I didn't mind the pick and pop for Wade at the end, reminded me of Cartier at Texas.

2) It looks like we got a little fool's goldy in the 2nd half, but this is still the best offense in Lawrence against Bill Self ever.

3) Of course, that means the defense also gave up a lot. That's disappointing.

4) This team is 2 plays in the last 10 seconds of games from being undefeated.

5) We'll see if this can continue. This team a) can't stub the proverbial toe in some home game and b) must get some surprise wins on the road and beat nearly everyone at home.

That Wade pick and pop is exactly what I thought we needed, either the pop or roll.

We got extremely fools goldy between the under 8 and under 4 timeouts and it was frustrating because we actually played very good defense in that stretch but we went down and jacked up jumpers every single time. I can only remember one interior score in that stretch and it was DJamer tip dunking a missed jumper. What makes it even more frustrating is that Wade did a great job scoring inside the entire game but we went away from that.

0-3 for wade, but also 8-9 from ft.  another season of that and i'll be convinced he's a high 30s shooter.

Budke did some good things.  Sneed is not intimidated by any of this.  I liked the balance in scoring.  What was our 3 pt %?  It seemed low.

1) Really happy how we played tonight.  We were down 10 at half. After getting the lead down to 2, it got back up to almost 10 again, before we tied it at 75. Then we actually only got 3 pts our next 9 Possessions, but didn't allow Ku to go on some 13-3 run. And actually had a shot to win it.

2) Tremendous job getting over 1.2 on PPP. 

3) I was so calling for Dean to get that shot. Was thrilled they got it for him. He just barely missed (he made 2 shots late in games last year)

4) FTs and TO%. Love it. Tough team to beat if we do well on these 2 and avoid an awful shooting night

They should really outlaw the 3 point shot. The only reason KU won this game was fool's gold.

Kstate was up 28-24 when DJamer got his 2nd foul. We clearly had some defensive issues and Ku got crazy hot. 28 pts (6 3pt) last 15 Poss to take that 10 pt lead at half. 

I just hope we can build on this performance and keep it going on the road. We have really been good on offense away from the OOD.  We normally just suck first 8-10 minutes in Larry.  Tonight, we actually scored 16 pts in 3:30 to take a 24-15 with 12:00 left.

This was the issue with DJamer having foul trouble in the first half, after he went out Jackson had a velvet rope to the basket and he took full advantage. I don't think Svi hits that runner at the end of the game if DJamer didn't foul out.

I do like that we kept the ball out of KU's best guard's hands and made some other guy take 4 steps to beat us. Actually, I thought most of how we played the last 4 minutes was pretty good besides the drive and kick we gave up for the easy layup. Its winning basketball about against any other Big 12 team.

DJamer fouling out was huge, it wasn't the right call. Took him out of the game and sent Lucas to the free throw line. Also we have had a lot of success with oscar against KU with a double ball screen. I think we would have ran it if DJamer was in. Might have got a dive to the basket.

Okay, but he also had several nice finishes, drew two fouls and hit all four free throws and had a jam put back and a great block.

They played well.  Hung tough under a lot of pressure.  You should have watched.
