I sometimes forget, that in the delusional and psychpathic mind of the libtard, white people are running around beating up minorities, women and gays, clockwork orange style.

Meanwhile, their fearless leaders line their pockets with cash from muslim theocrats, who opress, rape and murder women, gays and pretty much anyone who isn't in their religion.

Hillary really loved the guys who throw bound gay people off of 5 story buildings on to concrete slabs.  Took millions of their dollars.

Lib's Define Extremism:  Anyone who sorta disagrees with their views a little.

Agreed...i don't think the same extreme view is the majority in any of the branches honestly.  Some of DJT's opinions aren't even right leaning.

People saying social media has anything to do with this are LOL.

Anecdotal for sure, but lots of ppl I know irl would never say the stuff they are saying on Facebook when in person.  It def seems to be providing a battleground for a ramped up argument without the normal filter most would have when discussing such things.

Social media has allowed for mass dissemination of misinformation, right and left. That's not good and obviously contributes extremism. Particularly when you can filter out the misinformation you don't like.

it also allows all views to easily find 'friends'....not that those # of people didn't already have those sometimes extreme views but it sure makes it more fun when you find a like minded left/right extreme person.

They should outlaw every social media cept message boarding.  And then moderators could direct poster to boards that could enlighten misconception posters.

I think it's probably cyclical like most other things. We're in a climate of ridiculously partisan politics, but I'll bet there will be a return to moderatism in the next 20 years or so. Most younger voters are registered as independent, and many took a third party's bid seriously this election. The soon to be establishment really doesn't like extreme partisan crap.

Some good points, but I think social media's influence on this election was negligible. The irony is that people like John Oliver probably assume based on their own circles and social media that most people agree with him, when the much simpler explanation is that most Americans just don't care who the president is, and among those who care, more legitimately wanted Trump.
