they've had one 8 win season since 1979.  that was in 2000, which also happened to be their winningest season ever.  it resulted in a third place finish in the big 12 north and a trip to the insight.com bowl.

The had that one 9-win season though. And it only included two wins against high school and YMCA teams.

I think I've mentioned this on here before, but one time I was talking with some ISU fans and one of them bragged about their "Co-North championship" in 2004.  I asked them who they played in the Big 12 Co-Championship game and things got quiet and awkward.

It seems like every year the hotel I stay at in KC for the Big 12 tourney gets overran by ISU fans. They are the most socially awkward group of sports fans ever.
