Friend of mine who lives in Calgary studies the origins of words and stuff like that. Anyway he said that the person who invented the Oklahoma football field comes from a history of people who worshiped a "happy God," but that everyone always thinks of "gay" in the homosexual sense and it's just not correct. To Americans, it sounds like they were people who worshiped homosexuals, but that's not the case. That's only that way to everyone in this day and age, because we use they word "gay" different now. Blew my mind.

Fun fact about OU: Their celebrity fans on the sideline every game include Dog the Bounty Hunter, and the guy who played Boner on Growing Pains. Take a good hard look and you'll see them.
