they're too complicated and _FAN knows it, kind of unfair imo

All I know is I would take 7 NCAAs in 10 years, including 3 Sweet 16s and 2 Elite 8s.

I think it might depend on his recruiting class. . . if he can actually pull in good players he can kinda Scott Drew his way till retirement.
His recruiting classes have been better than Franks were trending on his way out of here. He's snagged at least one 4 star recruit in the last 3 years.

oscar's recruiting has been one of his biggest positives.

of course. anyone would.  but both the oscar and the drew calculi are much more complex than looking at a w/l record.

There's like a billion threads on this board measuring our dick size to Frank and Underwood, I just thought I'd throw some facts out there. I do agree on the premise tho.

oscar has done a fine job recruiting. It's clear he's not going to "leave the cupboard bare".

on a bit of a kenpom tear, 82 to 42 over the course of the last month.  but they seem to be pretty bad at shooting, which is an important basketball skill.

I'm sure we'll lose the lottery again

unlikely, but anything is possible with a small sample.

If oscar were to be let go after this year, the new guy would inherit a reasonably talented roster.  He'd need to go recruit a point guard since oscar hasn't had one of those since he got here, but we've got a scholly open and the rest of the roster is pretty balanced.

He is the most careless player with the ball on our whole team. He is not a fine point guard.

stokes isn't that good, and he's also not enough.  regardless of who the coach is, they prolly need to add a juco point (it's possible we've already recruited one, dunno).

Stokes is undersized shooting guard that has been forced into action at point because of our recruiting deficiencies at that position. An above average three star high school point guard would start over him on day one. A JUCO point would be a no-brainer. He has absolutely zero feel for how to run an offense.

It think he has some issues. Specially at times stoping ball. Needs to get his TOs down. But I don't think it is fair to say he is not really good. He can really shoot and that solves issues.

That is his one skill, shooting. He should be splitting time with Brown at SG, which would have been very nice during that period when Brown couldn't hit anything. He's a reserve SG in a major conference, that is his talent level and skill set.

he has strengths.  they just need a third guard.  iwu isn't going to be there to run point forward next year.
