thoughts so far...

it's good. I like the large amount of cursing. I'm about five episodes in. it's kind of weird because the show is obviously about the guy who just built the store to sell goods but he's like never really in the shows and hardly talks. the dark haired guy that owns the whorehouse is just the best.

Yes, was very abrupt and the end sucks because it leaves you hanging.

It got cancelled because it was so good and popular that the cast was going to get $$$$$$$ and HBO did not want to pay for that along with the Sopranos (which was going in the toilet quickly).

this is partially incorrect. they stopped production on the show because they were going to film a movie to wrap up the series, then they couldn't get the funds to produce the movie.

2 movies!

Lots of things contributed. I think the writers strike was around that time and the show runner is a super weird "artist" type and got bored with the show too

The fact that it was done after 3 seasons is why you guys think it's so great. It didn't have time to get bad like every other show ever that's gone more than 3 seasons. Probably why I still think so highly of Ed.
