After this week, I have changed my opinion on where our Cats will finish in the conference.  This has zero to do with the Cats.

I cannot recall our conference being worse than it is right now.  If we just remove turnovers on offense, settle for 3's, play decent special teams, and use our patented "we hope your offense screws up" defense, we could surprise some people.

There are three teams that I believe that can make twice the amount of mistakes as us in a game, and still beat us. Those are UT, OU, and Baylor.  I think the team speed and overall talent of all three of those teams is significantly higher than us by a margin that will make it very hard to beat them.

Then, as _Fan and others have pointed out, everyone else seems similar, apart from ISU and KU (the "Nortards" are back). Those four teams cannot afford to turn the ball over more than us if they hope to beat us.

I hope we make this season really ugly...like 3 yards and a cloud of dust, and spaghetti brain and shoulder hernia the crap out of our quarterbacks.   Use all three of those motherfuckers and just speed option and QB dive them into hell and back.  We do this ala 2011, and we beat at least 2 of the 4 "middle" teams, and steal one from the top three.  That along with sweeping the Nortards, and we are sitting with 5-4 conference record with 2 non-con wins. 

In summary, who wants to join me in Memphis for the Autozone Liberty Bowl (Wednesday, Dec. 28th, 8pm, ESPN)?!?!?!

I didn't differentiate losses between the two Snyder tenures but if I did the ULaLa loss was much worse than the NDSU loss. I think last years OU game and the last Nebraska loss were also worse. Losing to KU or ISU this year would overtake '03 Marshall as his worst overall loss.

well its kinda hard to do that off the first game/couple of games in the season.....confrence play is a whole nother story so i somewhat agree with you

My thought on TCU is that we have them at the very end of the year.  If they continue to struggle, and considering that their defense has struggled pretty badly, and Hill isn't what they needed him to be, my guess is that they're probably limping into that 12/3 game with seven wins or so.  Other than Senior Day, there won't be a lot for them to play for.

Tech and OSU have had tough times in Manhattan recently.  OSU has only won once in Manhattan in 26 years (2010).  Nothing I see from them leads me to believe they're that much more talented to win in a place they traditionally struggle to win.

WVU is pretty simple; Holgo struggles to beat Snyder.  I think the teams are comparable in talent for the most part.  They've got WVU at a neutral site the week before us, while we have Missouri State.  we "should" be a little more rested and prepared for that one, but who knows?

I'm still waiting for something to happen with Baylor.  Maybe they'll get through the year fine.  I don't know.  It just feels like a chowder keg that could go off at any time, and the entire season will go off of the rails.

I'm interested to see how the Buechele does on the road somewhere.  Texas looks good, though. 

We ain't beating OU.

KU and ISU should be relatively snooze worthy.
