At best Tech is tied with TCU/Baylor. I'd give it a couple more weeks, but at this point I think you could say: Tech/TCU/Baylor/KSU/WVU as tied for third with UT/OU tied for first.

Not really certain why he gets a pass for it but the things Butch Jones did were 100x worse than what Art Briles did. I know the media in Big 12 country holds Baylor accountable more than the SEC does Tennessee, but I'm tempted to point to the old ESPN/SEC partnership as a factor as well. :jeffy:

Are you aware tech just gave up 37 first half points? They only scored 44 against Northern Arizona last week.

I know.  I probably overrate them because they have the best QB in a league with what looks like a bunch of scrubs at QB.

Mahomes is good, does it matter at tech?

I'll bite.

OU
Texas
BU/KSU
WVU/Tech
TCU/OSU
ISU
KU

KSU's defense is going to carry the season.  They seem to be the only Big 12 team that has something that resembles one outside of OU.  If the offense can cobble together something relatively consistent, they'll be more than fine.

I think people are giving OU too much crap over Houston.  Houston is that good.  Most likely an outside shot at the playoff when/if they run the table.

Arizona is losing to Grambling 21-3 at the half, that would, without a doubt, be the worst loss of the college football season.

This Tech/ASU game is the most boring high scoring game I've seen in a while.

I feel like all of these spread, no defense games are exactly like this, it sucks.

It's jumped the shark.  We're probably 3-5 years away from seeing "revolutionary" power run football again.

Christ, it's why two decently coached triple option teams (GT, Navy) have had consistent success when they really have no reason to have it.

Kenny Trillville Hill is good at football.

He's really not.

I'll take Kenny Hill and you can have every QB on Kstate's active roster.

This is how it looks right now. UT/OU seem to have the best teams by a significant margin, even if OU looked pretty bad in that loss to Houston. Its arguable that our loss at Stanford is the 2nd best performance by a Big 12 team so far this year. The battle for 3rd should be significant and I could foresee a bunch of teams finishing 5-4/4-5 in a logjam while beating up on each other.

we're talking trash on Kenny Hill after he had 377 yards passing and 93 yards rushing against a real team?

yeesh, not a good look, boys.

Its arguable that our loss at Stanford is the 2nd best performance by a Big 12 team so far this year.

what on earth

Did you see the game; to say he had accuracy issues would be putting it mildly. He has a great receiving crew and offensive coordinators that aren't crippingly risk averse. Even on what should have been the game winning touchdown drive in regulation he has two bad passes before his touchdown run then he commits a stupid penalty that costs his team 15 yards. He is an elusive runner, has an average arm; if he was here our coaches would have let him pass the ball about 18 times and 10 of those would be single pattern pass plays.

I would kill for an elusive runner with an average arm
