Sit-in in Congress

Ryan and the Pubs cut the CSPAN feed so you have to find periscopes from various Reps filming as they sit.

Embarrassing how juvenile the liberals have become. It just gets worse and worse.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Didn't Joe Biden ask a guy in a wheel chair to stand up?

Good effort wasted on a dumb law. Pure theater.

I appreciate that they are expending their time and energy doing this instead of doing normal rich ruling class stuff

Nah man, Joe asked Chuck Graham to stand up and he's been in a WC since he was 16.

The sit in is occurring in a building that is heavily guarded.  Go sit in a street in a DC ghetto.

The republicans should have a sit-in to eliminate the no-fly list.

just eliminate the house.  nothing good ever comes from it and it was probably always a stupid idea.  if we need two legislative bodies, create a second senate.

I could get on board with this, but I'm still pretty angry at the house R's for blocking the energy bill the Senate passed with 83 yea votes.

Good addition to constitution 2.0. Although I would probably eliminate the senate instead so the representatives cover equivalent populations. Maybe have a big house and a little house if you really need two.

equivalent populations is an ok idea, but i don't like that it forces constant redistricting.  a fairly intractable problem.

if we get rid of the senate rather than the house, then the house will need longer terms.  two years is stupid.  eight years might be good.  or go with six, and make presidential terms also six.

How are we going to eliminate special interest money in this 2.0 model?

yes to all of this

How are we going to eliminate special interest money in this 2.0 model?

one problem at a time, but election reform could help. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2010-05-14/opinion/ct-oped-0514-british-20100514_1_campaign-spending-candidates-election-day

I am down with term limits for sure.  One term.  4-6 yrs.  not able to run for other office until you have been out of office for at least one term.
