so it's $250 for a 7-day rental, plus $19 shipping, plus all the normal taxes, which is like $20/day?? wow what a bargain

it can be.    I rented a premium in SF for 2 days over Memorial Day.   Initial charge was $265.    I paid $7 in taxes (nothing for the certificates since I earn them).    I also rented in Dallas for 3 days and paid something like $14 total, initial charge was something close to $100/day with taxes.

I sold most of mine for mid 20s with free ship.    That one's overpriced, why it hasn't sold.

I was in Denver a little over a month ago and rented a car and it was super easy.

Call the Holiday Inn on Tower Rd by the airport and tell them to come get you.  Once you get there go inside the lobby to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car and ask for Monica.  She is a gorgeous young lady that went to OU.  Tell her the tall, ripped, and handsome guy from KSU sent you there.

Maybe some small talk after talking about KSU's dominance over OU the past few years in football.  Then ask for the cheapest option they have, she will look through the books and ask if you want a free upgrade.  The free upgrade will be a Jeep Grand Cherokee for the same price as the cheap car.

Thank her for her time and drop a line like, "TBT will be back again soon".  Drive off in your upgrade and enjoy the mountains courtesy of your bud TBT.

I love National.  The whole bypass the counter and just go pick out whatever car you want is awesome!

Absolutely! I am executive elite with them. Whatever I want for mid size price. I hate when I hit a hayseed airport without Executive aisle.

And, you can just walk the eff away from the car when you drop it off.  No nonsense.  Love them.

was not aware you could redeem UR for rentals.  says it will cost a little over 3k UR points per day for the basic Rio/Versa type car.

A 10 hour drive to the mountains can be a lot of fun. The drive home blows.

We drive but it's only about 8 hours for us, and I've got lots of kids so airfare + car rental gets expensive.

Where are you going in the Rockies?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

sometimes you should do this.  you should always check, on any travel thing you are buying.  sometimes there are weird price discrepancies between cash and ur prices.

pretty much Rocky Mountain National park area, and just me and my daughter, so no, I don't think the drive through Kansas/Eastern Colorado will be fun

that drive sucks balls and is never fun.  what's fun is getting off the plane at DIA after an hour long flight while your sucker ass friends are driving through Topeka.

It's basically RyanAir now. Or it was when I flew it like two years ago and decided I would avoid it if at all possible. But it's a pretty cheap short flight, so why not.

I still have 30K miles I could get your flights with and you'd give me like half the cost of the flight or something.

I still have them because the last 2 times I used them for peoples' flights to or from here, the flights got canceled.

If I still have them by September or so when they expire, I'll be redeeming them for future rental car vouchers.
