So I don't think I've ever shared this story. There's many reasons why I love my current job and it's because of this work story at UOP. Let me try and paint this picture. I worked at a campus up in the Northland. My manager (girl, let's call her bambi) was married to another manager who oversaw the Independence campus (let's call him frank) and then there was also a manager (guy) (let's call him David. Real name. POS) who was a good friend of theirs at the Lenexa campus. The guy at the Lenexa campus is/was a pompous mother rough rider and no one liked him, but he was really close with this couple. He was also married himself. As most of you know, for profit schools are dying and we all had to move to one campus down in lee summit off 435 eventually. The dick head manager (David), became my new manager, because they wanted to mix things up.
So the next thing you know is, he's grilling me with questions all the time. A very paranoid guy. "What are ppl on the floor saying when i'm not around, I know ppl like you and talk to you, what do they say? etc." Well we all found out why he was so paranoid. He and his wife (rose) had over the managers who were married on a weekend. They all started boozing hard. Light weight guy manager (Frank) who's married to the other manager passes out (Bambi). Next thing you know, David's wife tells everyone she's going to bed, but Bambi decided to hang out with david since everyone was out of commission. David decides to take bambi into the guest bedroom (right next door to his and wife's bedroom) to bang her. They do it and then Rose hears them and walks in on them. The married managers had a kid together too.
So for months afterwards, we have all these managers working together, while most of us know the story. David would threaten me to tell him stuff on one-on-one's, or else he'd threaten my job, etc. This went on for 6 months before the execs fired everyone. What a rough ridin' world. yes, everyone got divorced.
