Seriously, there are almost no jobs out there that are comparible to KSU that a qualified candidate wouldn't take over KSU.  We are going to be out there fighting for the next prez against the Emporia States of the world. 

We should seriously make Bosco the permanent prez now.  We absolutely cannot do better than Pat Bosco.

Another thing to keep in mind if you think Kirk was a shitty prezzy is that he probably just rocketed into the top 20 public university president salaries at only his second stint.

WSU and many others are over paying.   Kirk ain't worth $750k a year.    Oh, if they can do better in the private sector, great, they should go work in the private sector.   But the Kirk Schulz's of the world are regional VP's of engineering in the private sector.

I don't know about that.  When everyone asked Dayton Moore why he took the KC job, he said there are only so many GM jobs available.

Well, there are only so many Tier 1, P5 university jobs out there. Maybe some young(er) gun that has aspirations of running a bigger university someday will have interest.
