The Jayhawks are a team that could get a lot better as the season progresses, but when it starts, they’ll have a lot of work to do. They’ll be competitive in the bottom half of the North

6. Kansas State

The Wildcats aren’t built to win 10 games just yet, but if Nebraska and Missouri stumble, they’ll be there to slip into the North conversation just like last season, when they were one upset win over the Huskers from a trip to Arlington. Carson Coffman took hold of the starting quarterback job in the spring, but he’ll need to keep it in the fall and be productive with his three new receivers to lighten the load on running back Daniel Thomas. If that happens, there’ll be more happy Saturdays than sad ones in Aggieville.

BTW, what happened to Tim Griffin? I mean, good riddance, but I was just curious if he got promoted or fired.

I like the cut of this David Ubben's jib.  He looks like he smells at least 70% better than Griffin.

I think he just resigned

You should ask him via facebook.

Word on the street from one of my buddies that walked on to play safety there is that there is a banner in the works, much like the "win the north" banner that says: "Recruit, Win the Bottom of the North, Recruit".

It must upset you that even rookie ESPN writers can tell that KU is going to suck.

Pretty obvious that a guy from Ark, who wrote for MO and OK papers, and currently lives in TX is biased against KU but not KSU.

You don't have to work at the Columbian to realize that KU is going to suck this year.  It is a curious thing when looking at the phog.net gridiron board, no one can fathom why prognosticator after prognosticator is picking KU to be horrible.  Lost starting(one of all time greats) QB - Check, lost top two Wrs to the NFL - Check, lost top running back(even though he sucked) - check.  All this from a team who went 1-7 in conference.

Brace yourselves for failure Jayhawks, getting your hopes up could be dangerous this year.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

We said the same thing about K-State last year, and you guys finished 4-4 in the conference.

With a HOF coach at the helm.  Gill couldn't even muster .500 at a midmajor.

Daniel Thomas is legit, but the rest of your team kinda sucked.  The Big 12 North is weak.
