To be or not Tubby, that is the question...; Tech ADV
« on: March 05, 2016, 05:40:03 PM »

Let's be real here Cat fans.

Last year we really only beat TCU and OU twice because of crazy games from Marcus Foster. And we only beat KU and ISU because Nigel played way above his head. Both guys were proven cancers and oscar rightfully got rid of them. So really, you take those 5 wins from our 8 conference wins and oscar's team really only won 3 games.

Then you look at all our young guys this year and oscar managed 5 wins. The way I see it, this is a big improvement from the 3 Big 12 wins of last, PLUS we didn't have those ugly OOC losses this season. oscar has this thing on the right track. We had a 12 point lead today at one of the tougher places to play in the league, on senior night no less.

There really is no doubt that next year will be special and if you don't believe that, you clearly aren't a real fan.

Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause....

Keep your head up sys. Still #16 in 3PT%D AND overall. That's pretty good if you ask me.

I still believe in an NIT run.

I'm pretty sure we'll be the youngest team in the NIT too, so it will be tough. But you never know.

Am I a bad fan for not wanting the NIT bid?  I'm kinda in the same place where I was last year......let's just get this year over with.

Nothing new....Ksu 2016 BB has Bad D + Bad O stretches that are too Long.

25-5 run to end 1st half, but it continued on in the 2nd hf

Tech got 48 pts in 30 Poss shooting 20-28 FG
Those same 30 Poss, we Only had 18 pts and 12 TOs.
Those 30 Poss were around 20 minutes of the game. From 23-11 to 41-59.  30 pt swing

Hey Mr. Negative Posse, if we had 20 minutes of 18-48 that means we had 20 minutes of 53-32.

That's pretty good.

I understand BB is a game of runs.  And alot of times runs will happen when you play bad O and either play bad D or give up easier shots because of the poor O.

14-4 type runs happen ( we had 1 to start game). But when you let Tech go off for 48 pts over 30 Poss and then only Ave a measley 0.60 PPP yourself in the same time frame... You are in seriously trouble.  At some point the O or the D has to play better in that stretch...so a 17-5 run to tie the game at 28-28, doesn't end up being 59-41 later in the game.

We allowed 31-10 runs to Ku and 24-3 to Isu at home this year, and we never recovered from the big deficit. We mounted a comeback because....BB is a game of runs...but we never took the lead in either game and I never thought we were gonna win.

Sorry for being so negative FAN ;) but as frustrated as I am, I do hold some hope for next year and 2017-18

Stokes
Brown
Westicles
Wade
DJamer

Is a good enough starting 5 to make the tourney next year.

Perhaps. But if Ksu would outscore Ku or any team 48-18 or 31-10 in a game..... I would feel really good

A healthy Stokes alone is worth 6 additional conf wins.

It'd be exactly what about half our fanbase would need just to completely switch allegiance and be WSU fans. Which would be fine with me. I don't think I like that half of our fanbase much anyway.
