The white night third party candidate is very comic book-y, and divorced from the whole needing to raise and spend $1 billion thing.

Well the most talked about potential candidate is a billionaire, so no problems there. It's not comic book-y in my mind. If there was EVER a person who seriously considered running for president outside of the two major parties, they would try to run this cycle. The only question is whether any of those folks has enough of a name and financial backing to do so.

Here's a dose of political reality for you.

If there were three faceless presidential candidates, one far-left, one far-right, and one bright purple moderate, the far-left one would get 40% of the vote, the far-right one would get 40% of the vote, and the other 20% of the populous would be undecided.

Tell me what billionaire is going to throw $1 billion of their own money into that fight
