At the NCAA Tournament, there's the podium press conference, but then we get 30 minutes in the locker room too. Jake came back there and did his best to answer questions. We also had time with Frank, and asked him questions.Asking questions to players who are heart broken is not a comfortable job, but part of what we do in the media. All of the quotes used in our postgame stories and videos were obtained with these interviews.I do think Frank over-reacted, but he also lashed out in defense of someone he loves, just as many of us would do. This trait of Frank is not always his best in PR purposes, but you better believe it's pure gold to players, recruits and their families. He's demanding but stands up for his players. They're family.Kellis (pre-Eagle/Star) and his blog personally attacked me back in the day. It was unfair, personal and cheap ... and I have moved on. Life is short and I refuse to be eaten up with such negativity. Maybe I've developed a thicker skin because I now laugh at the silliness thought up by haters, but I always try to not let others rule my emotions. For those who have known me a long time, this is a radical change. Some of you need to consider if this ongoing hatred for Kellis is a good use of your time and emotional energy, but that is up to you.Finally, I am not in a position to judge his work because I am focused on the work we do here, but I will say I am tired of the holier-than-tho attitude of the print media. They no longer have the power they used to, the power of Web sites, message boards, Twitter and email have switched the balance of power. The print industry stood by and watched the change and reacted way too late.
