CBI entrance fee is a small price to pay to be able to tell the Family that oscar got our wildcats to the postseason

We are 3-4 at home.

wow.  the ut game is for a winning conf home record then.  i hope the players are made aware.  i'm sure they'd play very hard to protect their house, if they knew.

They weren't practicing the 30 second dribble out for KU. I can tell you that much.

If we qualify for the CBI, bet the farm that John Currie will pay the entrance fee. He will plaster that crap all over e-mails, mailers, and other propaganda as well: "Postseason in three out of four years for Head Coach oscar Weber."

There's hope in that history suggests Currie's tenure as AD should soon be over:

Ernie Barrett, 1969-75
Johny Jermier, 1976-77
DeLoss Dodd, 1978-81
Dick Towers, 1981-85
Larry Travis, 1985-91
Milt Richards, 1991-93
Max Ulrick, 1993-2001
Tim Weisner, 2001-08
Bob Krause, 2008-09
John Currie, 2009-present

Dick Towers, 1981-85, four years
Larry Travis, 1985-88, three years

Steve Miller 1988-1991, three years

Milt Richards, 1991-93, two years

mumped up when typing. Makes an even stronger case that Currie is about at the end of this tenure.

I realized that a loss tomorrow guarantees a 4-5 (at best) home conference record, our worst since Wooly went 2-6 in his first year in 2001.  :frown:

Last year: no post season
This year: NIT
Next Year:  NCAA

I think your trend o meter is broken

To make the NIT, we will need three more wins. TCU on senior day, OSU in the 8/9 game in KC, and one other. We are 3-4 at home and only 1-6 on the road. Therefore, our best chance for making the NIT comes if we upset Texas at home on Monday because I don't see us winning in Ames or Lubbock. Lose to Texas and we're sitting at home for the postseason. Again. Do you really feel that confident we'll beat Texas and TCU and OSU?

My confidence issue is only with Texas. I think we will win the other 2, but we probably must beat someone other than TCU and OSU to make the NIT.

I don't think we'll accept a pay to play tournament bid.

Wait, can you guys explain to us down the highway what the heck is the N.I.T ??

the big 12 is so rugged, just a meat grinder. And playing on Big Monday after just a day of rest what can you expect...

It is a post season tournament that teams that did not make the NCAA get invites to.

It's on the ESPN family of networks, most years it gets better ratings than the NCAA tournament.  #brand #family
