on first glance, it looks like the last three years were highly variable. but on reflection, really just 2014 was highly variable. in 2015 and 2016, kenpom's initial prediction was just inaccurate and those inaccuracies resolved over the course of those seasons.

the first big drop looks like pittsburg, the second was the three game run of texas southern, georgia and osu.

Long Beach wasn't the first big one? Or was them Pittsburgh performance incredibly awful?

There was also a bad one later in the season. TCU?

there was a medium big drop with long beach, but they got it all back against purdue. pitt was a 23 pt loss to a mediocre team. in those early games, kenpom is also fading out last year's data, so the game results themselves aren't the only impacts.

the late drop was a 17 pt road loss to tech.

kenpom has a column that shows the ranking for each game.

Kenpom can't predict oscar worth crap. I would like to see a chart of just oscar, Illinois last two years + KSU. Then an overlay of oscar vs Frank.

Unfortunately the game by game updated kenpom ranking isn't part of his stats until 2011, so what Chingon provided is all we have.
