All right about 30mins in to the recording.

Rubio actually did fine against Christie. Not as good as he could have done, but Christie also came off like an bad person.

Cruz is just

awesome at trashing liberal moderators. He crushed the NK middle question out of the park.

Is Obama incompetent (Trump) or deliberately trying to diminish the US (Marco)? I agree with Marco and I think he made the better case on this point.

Hour in. Ted crushes another answer on immigration.

Rubio likewise answered his immigration question well.

And them the moderators immediately go back to designated attack dog Christie.

Gosh, it's almost like ABC had a plan to use Christie to bludgeon Rubio.

And I still don't think it was that effective. Rubio held his ground pretty well.

Rubio also answers well.

Boy, it's weird how the media develops its narrative. Rubio did pretty well tonight.

Good lord, Rubio just destroyed Raddaz on the Middle East question. It was hilarious watching the liberal blinders fall from her eyes. The "oh crap - he knows more about this than I do" moment.

I am still not sure I'd Christie was trying to be Fat Hitler or Loud Fat Rassler. Stephenclintopolis came off like the little runt who is always trying to get big fat kid to do his biding. Kasich actually did the best at least the Ohio story is likeable to conservatives unlike New Jersey. Cruz, Rubio and Trump held ground and should win NH. The best moment of the debate was Rubio's answer about abortion and pointing out if it came to abandonING his belief that aboration is wrong to win an election, then he would gladly lose. Not one other showed that kind of steel backbone.

Ok. Time to switch over to Super Bowl, but the three best performances were Cruz, Rubio, and Trump.

In the second tier, Jeb! and Kasich did well.

Carson was pretty much a noshow and Christie just came off as too much of a bully.

I didn't think he did as well as he has in the past, but that's a pretty high bar. Yes, he did well. ABC pretty much scripted that whole debate as an opportunity to trash Rubio, and he held up well. The way the media portrayed this you'd think he pulled a Perry.

Whole debate is an exaggeration, of course, but ABC placed a particular emphasis on setting up Christie v. Rubio. Basically, Christie made a number of disparaging remarks about Rubio leading up the debate, and ABC made sure to ask the pair about each and every one of them. Christie came off looking like an bad person, but no doubt it didn't help Rubio, either.
