K-State gets reclassified by Carnegie . . .

K-State now (back) at Carnegie's highest level of research activity, K-State dropped a tier when Carnegie re-did their classification levels a few years ago.

I sure wish I knew what distinguishes a Tier 1 from a Tier 3 university--always thought it was research...
