Missouri politicians
« on: January 08, 2016, 09:59:59 AM »
Trying to basically legalize prostitution, but only if the johns are members of the state legislature.

This is either raw stupidity or a statement that they know 100% that no one gives a eff or pays any attention to corruption in their state.

It's actually a way to out politicians for voting a certain way because they are sleeping with a lobbyist.

Yeah, it was half joking.

It would basically create the ability to gift sex to politicians legally.

In the new bill, "the reporting of sexual relations for purposes of this subdivision shall not require a dollar valuation."

I was disappointed by this.  They should have forced the lobbyists to put an estimated dollar value on their sexy time.

Exchanging gifts for lobbying isn't favorable.

I don't think that's true.  For that to be true the law making it illegal would have to be repealed.  This proposed law is only that, if you do, you have to report it, and not reporting it would be a crime.

Maybe.  The no monetary value may effect that, though.
