Saw The Glorious Sons at the Madrid this weekend. They were pretty good. I saw them at a festival and liked them live so we caught them as they came through KC. Good show. The surprise was the opener though. They weren't listed anywhere so I didn't even know there would be an opener. They were called the Velveteers. It was a female lead singer/guitar player and 2 rough ridin' maniacs that basically shared a drum kit and a half. One of them also played keyboard a bit. They freaking ruled. I haven't listened to any of their studio stuff yet and I bet it isn't great, but they were so fun live. The girl was great, but the 2 drummers stole the show. Mrs SF was like, "that was awesome, i'm going to guy buy a shirt and support them". I laughed and told her to go for it. She came back empty handed and I asked why and she showed me pictures of like 4 shirts that had skulls with snakes coming out of the eyeballs. LOL.
