One of the girls made an anti war statement. Toby Keith said mean things about her

at a concert in England:

"Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas."

Hmm, link?

WHOOPS. Nightshapes.

Ah! Interesting. Surprised they're touring - good for them. Never seen them but I've seen a lot of the bands they've shared bills with around town.

I was in Denver a couple weeks ago and almost went to Jay Som who was in town but got lazy.  :-

IT'S FIVE rough ridin' DOLLARS TO SEE JENNY LEWIS

AND SHANNON AND THE CLAMS ARE LIKE THE TIGHTEST rough ridin' BAND IN THE WORLD

ugh, i hate going to shows with large groups/people other than ms tobias.  tobiasbro insisted on getting us "VIP" tickets (which pretty much left us out of freaking telescope range), not caring about catching the openers, talking through the set, etc.

kinda low energy setlist for a spread-out outdoor venue but she was awesome of course.  played a number of rabbit fur coat songs, which is a  for me

Well, if they won't shut the eff up for Jenny Lewis two-stepping her way across the stage in a white rainbow pantsuit they're not worth my time.

Going to pay $150 a ticket for the upper deck to see DCX at the Minnesota State Fair next week, need a baby sitter in the twin cities though, any recommendos?

i'm sure with all those wide open spaces you could find a travelin soldier who's ready to run your kids for a bit, i mean you're not going to be a long time gone. but if you're not ready to make nice with a rando veteran, there's your trouble right there

Holy crap, amazing. Mrs. MIR just swooned at you.

Ended up going to see DCX tonight at the Sprint Center instead of the Minnesota State Fair, amazingly perfect decision. That was the biggest, loudest indoor concert I've ever seen, there had to legitimately be 20,000 people in there. I got our tickets at 4 PM this afternoon and there were only 11 tickets on StubHub, appeared to be none from non brokers on Craigslist, and the brokers only had obstructed view seats.

The Chicks were amazing although they did a relatively flat cover of Nothing Compares 2 U. They are such talented musicians. Vintage Trouble opened and they were excellent.

Highlight of the night may have been the perfect pork tacos from the Farmland concession stand :lick:

Budweiser put on a surprise concert in downtown Denver last Saturday, announced it that morning I think, and beers were only like 2 bucks. Shakey Graves headlined and was awesome as always. Enjoyed

mrs clams (not a dcx fan) had a coworker ask her to go yesterday.  her live concert text message update last night read: "This concert is really good...Haven't heard them in years...They sound really great..."

Are you 15 years old? We still acting like good music isn't good music because it's sung by girls?

No.  Nashville country, like the Dixie Chicks, is pretty crappy music.

I like female artists.

LOL. Okay buddy, "Nashville Country"
They have won best album, record, and song grammys; you're right they're crappy musicians.

I'm not defending nardfrog here. However, I wouldn't prop up your argument on rough ridin' grammys.
