Pearl Jam was pretty great at Jazz Fest

They brought Chad and Josh from the Chili Peppers up for the finale.

The Who at Sprint Center tonight.  Anyone going?  I love those guys but they probably should have called it quits a long time ago, at least after John Entwistle died.

someone should figure out where this is and go:

http://oliviagibb.tumblr.com/post/143517815921/the-world-and-future-punx-kansas-city-at-you

https://soundcloud.com/the-world-819194084

the world is a two saxophone punk(?) band from Oakland. I've heard nothing but great things and am trying to see them tonight or next week and I will hopefully let you know how much effort to put into finding that show. I mean, I know it will be better than The Who at Sprint Center.

Intriguing.

I'm pretty old and pretty lamestream, but I'm actually aware of FOKL.

However, I just had a similar quandary. Anybody have a clue what/where the hell "Kum N Go" is?

Nevermind, a simple google search revealed A Giant Dog is actually playing at Blind Tiger.

That article/Nick Thornburn reminded me that I was going to post in the NYC thread that my latest tip is to go see whomever is playing at the Bowery Ballroom. I saw the Thermals there, and it is an excellent, excellent venue.
