Did you guys see that Columbia House is returning to start a vinyl subscription service. You want to talk about bringing the generations together; boomers can be nostalgic about records, Xers can be nostalgic about stealing from Columbia House, and millennial hipsters can continue to act like vinyl produces the best sound.

that's great. on a side and obv completely unrelated note...trasel rone, LHC Bill Snyder and lenny dykstra all received cd's to the same address as me when I was in college. wow!

How in the hell did Columbia House stay in business for so long? Even when I tried to keep my subscription up I at some point stopped paying but they kept sending CDs.

-like music netflix before there was streaming i guess?

I'm guessing they just rode it out as long as they could similar to blockbuster b&m stores. it truly was a revelation to realize that one penny, some scotch tape, a fictional name and real address could net you $100 worth of music for free.

Exactly.

My wife is 33 years old and is absolutely a Gen Y'er. They are the children of baby boomers but were born too late to have memories of the 80s. Gen Y'ers grew up in the 90's but experienced it much differently than X'ers. Millennials were born in the late 80's to 90's, don't remember life before the information age.

Whichever generation created the term "on fleek" is the worst.
