An Asian gentleman that I have never met before told me I looked like Conner ???? of MMA fame. I have a 4 month beard and I am white. I'll bet this Conner chap is white, too. MIR wouldn't have to deal with this crap.

I'm almost 40 years old yet I would guess that still about 98% of conversations I have with white people about what university I attended contains the question "what sport did/do you play?" Not exaggerating that percentage either, it's astonishing.
I totally believe you. My buddy got asked all the time at K-State, if he was on the basketball team. It was the wooly years, so nobody really knew if he was or wasn't.

MIR is obviously not "you people".  I mean, he speaks so well.

I have the tendency to call black guys "man."  Like, "How's it going, man?" - this qualifies as a hardship because I feel guilty about it.  I'm not sure its mean but the inequality with which I say it to people makes me think its a problem.

When I last encountered MIR, he gave me a hug. I'm not sure what this means as pertaining to this thread though.

I was comforting you, life is a breeze for my people so I often give white folks sympathy/empathy hugs. I want you people to know I care.

This guy, lol. The anger is strong, I have a massive bear hug reserved for you, maybe even a cheek kiss.

Scene:
MIR and dobber meet at some gE pak bar for the first time. Dobber's jaw drops in astonishment as he loudly proclaims: "MIR IS BLACK!"
MIR responds by walking over to dobber and gives dobber a cheek kiss.
Mike and the Mechanics' 'The Living Years' begins playing in the background.
Scene.

Does anyone know if the Irish slave decedents  who were sold to settlers by the thousands of what was to become the United States have sought reparations?
