This is what I am hoping for over the next 2 weekends to get OU and Baylor in the playoffs, and send this entire process into chaos.
Nebraska beats Iowa
Iowa has a terrible strength of schedule, and they are Iowa.
Penn St beats Michigan St
Need every BIG team to have 2 losses. A loss to Penn St at home would not look good.
Michigan beats Ohio St
Keeping with the every BIG team needs 2 losses.
North Carolina St beats North Carolina
I want this to happen to set up next weekend's ACC championship game with Clemson
Stanford beats Notre Dame
Knock Notre Dame out of the playoff picture
Auburn beats Alabama
Would be great to saddle Alabama with 2 losses AND knock them out of the SEC championship game if....
Ole Miss beats Mississippi St
Ole Miss winning this game get them in the SEC championship. They already have 3 losses.
Florida St beats Florida
Need to saddle Florida with 2 losses. Florida would play Ole Miss next week.
Oklahoma beats Oklahoma St
OU needs to win out
Baylor beats TCU
Balyor needs to win out
Next week:
North Carolina beats Clemson
Boom...Clemson does the ultimate Clemsoning and losses this game. Would that be enough to knock them out?
Pac 12 south winner beats Stanford
Pac 12 champ with 3 losses, and Stanford is completely out of the picture. Pac shut out of the playoffs.
Big 10 championship: Iowa vs Michigan. Iowa has a loss and a terrible strength of schedule. Would they pick them if they won it? Would they take a 2 loss Michigan team? Sadly, I think the committee would give whomever wins a bid.
SEC championship: Ole Miss beat Florida
a THREE loss SEC champ....that would be fun.
Baylor beats Texas
One loss Baylor team sitting right there for the taking. Would the committee pick them? Would a 3 loss SEC champ get the nod over Baylor? Would the committee give it to Alabama? Would be interesting to see what the committee would do with the ACC situation. Still take Clemson? Take UNC??
A lot to happen, and most of it probably won't. But, this is what my ultimate dream for the final two weeks.
