You can go to a restaurant and order "a burger and a draft" and the server will know what to get you

The Party of Five girl has the market cornered for the role of "30-something baker looking for love".

Favorite hallmark movie scene:

- Small town
- The towns hottie is dating the town sheriff
- New guy in town threatens hottie's fathers business that's been around the family for over 50 years.
- New guy makes good with town hottie, to help out the family biz, tussles with bad person town sheriff, and wins over the girl

* Alternative: Your choice. You either make her a single mother or the single towns newspaper reporter

Christmas is the best (only?) time for little children to find a new mom/dad.

Things I've learned....
1. My wife loves the crap out of Hallmark Channel.
2. My wife is actually more cynical than me and can pretty much give me the plot of every movie after watching the first 5 minutes. (She still loves it tho)
3. There are a lot of hot women in their early 30s (played by actresses in their 20s) who are looking for love but are just too focused on their careers.
4. There are a lot of super rich hot guys who aren't looking for love but you can bet your ass they're gonna find it.
5. Standard dress: sweater with collared shirt and sleeves rolled (guy), and cozy cardigan with loose scarf while still revealing a little something (girl).
6. Hallmark does not have a minority hiring policy.
7. The rich guy always has a huge business deal or deadline looming around Christmas. But he'll get his priorities straight.

I'll probably have more. I'm in a cabin watching hallmark channel for the next few days.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

The houses, places of business and locales are idyllic with beautiful, friendly people, except for one or two at first, but then they always come around!

But that channel helps Mrs. Dax get through the holidays as its the anniversary of her father passing  .  So, I roll with it.

I've learned:
If the movie has one decently big name (say Dean Cain) then everyone else in the movie will be a horrible actor/actress.  If there is no big name, then everyone in the movie will be a horrible actor/actress.

I saw one last night that had Winnie Cooper in it.  Everyone else appeared to be a nobodyish horrible actor/actress.

If you have moved away from your hometown, and then you go back for Christmas, you will fall in love while you are there.
