3-0 moral victories isn't bad, though.  Do you guys have a song or chant to celebrate your abundance of almost?

I can't even imagine never having a championship :frown:

You still breathin'?  Somebody needs to put this jackwagon down.  He's so delirious his put downs don't even make sense anymore.    :jerk:

which part? The can't and never are the same as championship

Pudface, we were winning Southwest Conference championships by the handful back when K-State was the laughing stock of the entire nation.  How can you get off saying anything about never having a championship?  Here's a news flash.  We have quite a few.  Which is quite a few more than your cow college set in the middle of Hellhole, USA.  Put downs are effective when there is some truth behind them.

Go back to the brain donor clinic and ask for your money back.

So you've won one out of how many years in Division I? That's a serious question.

We have more championships this decade, which is only half over, than you have had since the 80's, which was 3 entire decades ago :sdeek:

This would be awful.  No wonder their last coach tried to kill himself on that bike.

False. Her boyfriend tried to kill him. And rightfully so.

Didn't answer the question.   Plus, you get to play in the Big 8, I mean Big 12, I mean.....oh what the he11, that conference that can't even beg schools to join so they'll have enough to qualify for a championship game.

P.S.  Tulane just turned you down.  Now, on to Middle Tennessee State..

Assistant coach at Georgia to assistant coach at North Texas? Red flag.

I thought it said he was something less than a coordinator and is accepting the new gig as the DC?

Inside linebacker coach to defensive coordinator ... it's a step up.  It's not like he was DC at Georgia to DC at North Texas.  That'd be a red flag.  Not all "assistant coach" positions are equal.

You guys really think the DC at UNT is a better job than the linebackers coach at Georgia? I sure as hell don't

Its a pay drop, but having a successful run as a DC at a small school is a good way to become a DC at a P5 school.

this.  one year job if you fluke into a defense that doesn't give up a billion yards.

You think the easier path to a coordinator is being a coordinator at one of the worst FBS programs instead of being a position coach at one of the best?

I do, especially if you want to take a shot at moving up faster. Coaches that move up to be a coordinator usually move around a lot, I think if you stay as an assistant at a P5 school too long you can stagnate and it makes the road to be a DC a longer one. You can move laterally to be a position coach at another P5 school, but the surest way to move up quickly is to prove yourself as a coordinator at a small school. Including a couple stints as a grad assistant, Ekeler is now at his 5th school since 2003. He got a late start in the coaching ranks after working in business after K-State which doesn't help him either.

If you have a good 2 or 3 seasons as a coordinator and can recruit he'll be at a P5 school in no time.
