Below is a post of mine from the "next coach bio" thread.  These are the two Texas are after.

The Bowling Green coach was an assistant at Baylor, AtM, and Arizona.

He lost his two Co-OCs from last year to Tulsa to work under former Baylor OC Philip Montgomery.  One is 33 year old Mike Mattox.  He is originally from Holton and has coached at both Butler and Coffeyville.  The other is Sterlin Gilbert, a former West Texas HS coach of the year who went with Babers to Eastern Illinois, where he coached Jimmy Garapalo.  I'd be pretty optimistic Dino could bring them with him to form a strong set of recruiters.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Damn. Texas can't even get a Co-OC at Tulsa to be their OC. What a mess.

And I love it!

Georgia: Inside linebackers coach / co-special teams coordinator Mike Ekeler is leaving the staff to pursue another opportunity as a defensive coordinator. Ekeler will not coach Georgia in their bowl game. Will update…

I would take richt in a heartbeat

Richt was destined to never be a championship coach and Georgia gave him the terms behind closed doors that he never lived up to.

Great guy and good coach. Just not someone who could take Georgia's resources and win big during a time the SEC East was at it's weakest.

No better time than during that time, and he couldn't get it done.

Ekeler confirmed today that he already has a new job and that's why he's leaving. He's not "pursuing" a job that he already has. Is his new job here? I hope so.

Ekeler, co-special teams coordinator, didn’t want to reveal where he’s landed, but said an announcement should come in the coming days.

Pretty amazing that the most tenured coach in the SEC East is now Butch Jones at Tennessee.  And they will be the pick to win the East next year and probably will do so.  And I will hate it because all the Tennessee fans here in Memphis will come out of their holes and start talking like they've always been a top 10 program and are entitled and are on a par with Alabama etc. etc.   God, I hate that puke orange school...

Yep.  We've played in 3 SEC Championship games as winner of the West.  Twice under our idiot coach in the 2000s and once under Danny Ford in the '90s.  Only real chance to win that was in 2007 with McFadden, Jones, and that group.  Alas, coaching did us in once again.

Just curious, but how many conference championships does K-State have in the entire history of its God forsaken football program?
