It's silly to think we are going to beat anyone, just because.  This is something LHCBS has been trying to explain to fans since we started the downward spiral.  The talent we currently have is no better than ISU, KU or WVU.  We as fans need to grab a reality check that K-State had marginal talent at best going into this season.  A backup QB that had never started at that position period, should have been your first indicator.  That did not happen this year.  But a  season riddled with injuries merely unveiled what everyone has known.

Since the coaches can't play the game for them, I assume you mean this team does not deserve it.  I don't want to imply the team does not deserve to go to a bowl, but I am not sure they are talented enough. 

I continue to be fascinated of the total meltdown by fans but I have to ask which would be worse, win next week in Manhattan only to lose in Lawrence the following week or lose the remaining games?  If you think things are bad now, let KU be the nail that prevents K-State from going bowling.   

As for ISU next week, I am even more fascinated when each others fan base has more faith (or should I say less faith in their own) in their opponent's team.  This may be the best game played next Saturday; 2 teams playing not to lose.

A good breakdown by McMurphy... There are likely going to be a handful of 5-7 teams needed to fill all of the bowl games and APR appears to be a factor on who is selected. K-State has the 10th highest APR of the non-qualified teams. Assuming a couple of the teams in front of us finish worse than 5-7, K-State will be in the discussion for one of those empty spots if we're 5-7.

As a fan I feel this way, but the conventional wisdom is that the extra bowl practices are a big help leading into the following season, so I'd prefer a bowl game even if it was something I didn't care to watch.

Again we've already played the 1,2,4, & 5 scoring offenses, yet to play 6,8, & 10.

Our defense is total trash

The godawful offense has really done a great deal of damage to the defense. Saturday was a perfect example of that. In this conference with all of the no huddle spread offenses 3 and outs on offense are deadly, even more so when those three and outs are coupled with two or three incomplete passes.

We will have a bowl game because we'll finish 6-6, or 5-7. If it's the latter, we'll play because of all the extra practices and the APR ranks us second, which guarantees a game. Although Bill says he'll leave it to the seniors, we'll go bowling even at 5-7.
